Leisure & Culture Dundee’s Summer Organ Sessions return for another year, featuring exciting younger players from across Scotland.

Jonathan Smith is a fourth-year undergraduate music student at the University of Glasgow where he is also the Lanfine Organ Scholar. As the University organ scholar, he regularly accompanies the Chapel Choir in services and concerts. Jonathan studies organ with University organist, Dr. Kevin Bowyer. As a pianist, he is the accompanist for the university’s opera and choral societies. Jonathan’s frequent collaborative work includes projects with students, composers and performers as well being involved with choirs and ensembles both in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Jonathan’s programme will  include:

Walton (Spitfire Prelude), Boellmann (Minuet and Priere from Suite Gothique) and Amy Beach (Prelude on an Old folk Tune)
